He created CNN. He pledged $1 billion of his $3 billion fortune to the U.N. He won a World Series championship in 1995 as owner of the Atlanta Braves, was married to Jane Fonda for 10 years, and is the largest land owner in the country. Ted Turner is not just one of the wealthiest men in the world but a one-of-a-kind character who has become known for both his vast accomplishments and his personal quirks. Now, his upcoming memoir, CALL ME TED, promises to be one of the biggest books of the fall. It publishes in mid-November and Reader's Digest will be talking to him about the book and much more.
